What's Wrong with America

So, a lot of people point to one thing and say, that's what is wrong with the US. I don't believe there is one thing wrong with the country, but I will point to TV's Nancy Grace as being one thing wrong with this country. Her ratings-whore attitude, her disregard for the constitution to take the so-called moral high-road for "victim's rights," her an eye for an eye view of the justice system stands against everything our system is based on.

This woman should be arrested for manslaughter. Her behavior likely drove a woman to suicide (http://www.melinda-duckett.com/). She forgets the idea that you're innocent until proven guilty. She forgets that punishment should never be the sole aim of a justice system. She forgets that maybe rehabilitation should be included somewhere in there.

A lot of people talk about what is obscene, well Nancy Grace is obscene. I hope she gets fired from her job and ends up writing a weekly legal advice column in some dinky paper in the middle of nowhere.

Did I Speak too Soon?

No sooner than I named my first Assholes of the Week and others crawl out of the woodwork wanting the title. Let's look at some runners up...

The American League MVP Voters - How did they NOT give this to Jeter? No Godzilla, No Sheff for the entire year, no pitching and they still finish with the best record in baseball. Why? Derek Jeter.

Diane Sawyer - Just because. This knucklehead fawns over everything. Plus it looks like the rubbed an entire jar of vaseline on the camera that shoots her.

Cosmo Kramer - The heckler was right, you're not funny.

Fox Broadcasting - First you put OJ on, then you take him off. Didn't you know it would upset people??

Diane Sawyer - Whoops, sorry, already mentioned her.

I still think MADD is the winner but man, I guess the holiday weekend brings out the worst in people.

Assholes of the Week

A new feature here on my blog... Asshole(s) of the Week. I'll try to pick someone new who is ruining our lives. This week, those facists MADD! Why? They want to put 1984-style monitoring devices in cars, all cars...

I hope the ACLU stands up to them. I really hate how they use "saving lives" to infringe on our civil liberties. Drunk driving laws are worse than Bush's anti-terror, enemy combatant laws. I know I'm in the minority on this but I still don't think saving lives is enough to restrict or step on rights.

For MADD's hysterical reaction to drunk driving and their lack of care about the Constitution I name them the ASSHOLES OF THE WEEK.

It seems that Michael Richards is going on the any publicity is good publicity rule. What an idiot. Maybe he and Mel Gibson can start a USO show or something... I found this on the Web (apparently he was being heckled)...

“Shut up! Fifty years ago we’d have you upside down with a f**king fork up you’re a**,” Richards, 57, screamed.

But the verbal assault didn’t end there. Witnesses said the comic then demanded the patron be removed from the club. “Throw his ass out. He’s a nigger! He’s a nigger! He’s a nigger! A nigger! Look, there’s a nigger!

As the audience gasped, Richards said: “You see? This shocks you. It shocks you to see what’s buried beneath you stupid motherf**kers.”

As audience members started to walk out, the black male chastised Richards for using the n-word and called him a “cracker-a**,” prompting the comic to shoot back: “Cracker-a**? You calling me cracker-a** nigger?

“Are you threatening me? Oh, it’s a big threat. That’s how you get back at the man.”

I just like that his comments make little or no sense. I had no idea he did standup. Of course he's still not as annoying as Dianne Sawyer...
