Who Cares
The US lost its first World Cup game. While I feel bad for the guys on the team, I really don't care. I wish ESPN wouldn't cover it, I wish the local paper would ignore it. There is nothing more painful than watching Soccer. Let's get back to the real world championship going on right now... Stanley Cup Hockey!!

While I can't help but agree with most everything you say about the generation below you and damn hippies and especailly Chapel Hill/Carrboro, I think you have gone a little too far when critizing soccer. The problem is that if you have only watched the US play, then you haven't seen good soccer yet. No other sport has as much atheletism, strategy, and strict time keeping. Admittedly, I wish they would score more, but I am a short attention-spanned American, or SASA, and I have no one to blame but myself. If you want to be bored, try watching cricket, if you have a week to waste.
